First, the driver/guide Paul was on time and super professional. Although it was raining, he ensured we saw 90% of all the animals. He knew the perfect timing for instance, we got to see lions early on because they tend to hide during the day. He also made stops for us to take in the surroundings. I even got to witness two male impalas fighting. From booking, to Airport pick up, pick up from the Hotel on the day of departure for the tour. The tour itself was a great value for money. David was our tour Guide. We are from a small island in the USA and all we have ever been used to is sea animals. We had a 12 hour layover in Nairobi and decided to go for a half day game drive at Nairobi National Park. Hubby was particularly interested in seeing the rhinos. We reached out a month prior to Discovery Outdoors. Purity was quick in response and planned out airport transfer from JKIA. The driver was on time and it's best to say we started our safari at exactly 9am. Issac was our driver and he knew so many details about the wild animals we spotted. The safari vehicle was also as expected as we had opted for a private safari. A few minutes into the safari we got to spot a rhino and her calf!! This was more than unbelievable. We truly enjoyed the game drive. Afterwards we went to Carnivore Grounds for a very tasty meal. The food is also affordable there. The day ended with Issac transferring us to the airport in the evening, early enough not to miss our flight. What a way to utilize out layover by going on safari.
